Taking place 24-26 January 2020, HSBC New Zealand celebrates its 21st iteration this year at FMG Stadium Waikato, the spiritual home of rugby in Hamilton.
What is cashless?
Cashless is a method of payment that helps improve the event experience. You’ll spend less time in queues, less time worrying about cash, less time concerned with fraud and theft, and most importantly, more time enjoying the event! Your wristband acts as your wallet.
How do I get my wristband?
You will receive your wristband when you arrive at the event.
How do I load funds onto my wristband?
To load funds onto your wristband, visit one of the top-up points.
How do I purchase items during the event?
Simply tap your wristband at any of the outlets at the venue to pay for your order and the amount due will be deducted.
Can I use cash or credit card to make purchases at the tournament?
No, cashless will be the only payment method for this event.
How will I know how much credit I’ve got left on my wristband?
You can request a balance check when you make a transaction or at a top-up point or with a roaming cashless staff member.
What if I lose my wristband?
If your wristband is lost or stolen, you can get a replacement. However, please keep in mind that your wristband is similar to cash. This means we can issue a new wristband, but your credit will be lost.
Can I transfer my money to someone else’s wristband?
No, your credit is not transferable.
What if I have unused credit on my wristband after the tournament?
You can claim back any unused funds online up to the value of $350 (NZD) per wristband. To cash out, visit https://hsbcnzrugbysevens.justtappit.com/, register for an account, then select ‘Cash Out’. You can link a maximum of 5 wristbands to the same account.
Cashout will open Tuesday, 28th January (09:00 local time) and will remain open until Tuesday 11th February (17:00 local time).
Please note that cash out is subject to a $3 processing fee
How long is the wristband valid for?
The wristband is only valid during the event / The wristband will be valid until 12 February (5 p.m. local time), when cashout closes.
What if my wristband gets cut, torn or wet?
The wristband will still be accepted should you have funds on it. Your wristband is water-resistant.
Please note that cash out is subject to a $3 processing fee

Changes to these Terms and Conditions
If you have a transaction that has been accepted by us, the terms and conditions that will apply to that transaction are the terms and conditions that applied at the time you made the transaction. Making a transaction
You may submit your transaction through the Site in accordance with these terms and conditions.
We may ask you to provide additional details or require you to confirm your details to enable us to process any transactions placed through the Site.
You agree to provide us with current, complete and accurate details when asked to do so by the Site.
All transactions on this Site are in NZD.
You confirm that any credit/debit card, or bank account or code which is being used, is yours, or that you have the authorisation of the card holder to use it. All account and credit/debit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer.
We will process your payment on a secure site.
You covenant and warrant that:
all information and data provided by you to us through the Site is true, accurate, complete and up to date;
you have and will comply with all relevant laws relating to your use of the Site and your placement of any transaction;
you are responsible for any costs associated with your access to or use of the Site, including Internet access fees;
you will fully understand the purpose of your transaction before proceeding; and
you will not:
use the Site for any activities that breach any laws, infringe a third party’s rights or are contrary to any relevant standards or codes;
use the Site in a manner or way, or post to or transmit to or via the Site any material, which interferes with other users or our other customers or defames, harasses, threatens, menaces or offends any person or which prevents any other person from using or enjoying the Site;
make fraudulent or speculative enquiries, transactions or requests through the Site;

reformat or frame any portion of the web pages that are part of the Site;
use the Site to violate the security of any computer or other network or engage in illegal conduct;
take any action that imposes or that would, in our reasonable opinion, result in an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure;

Warranty and Liability
HSBC New Zealand Rugby 7s accepts liability for all legal guarantees and warranties expressed or implied to the transactions under the European Union competition law or any other legislation, the effect of which cannot be excluded.
Where we are permitted by law (and subject to clause 14.1):
we do not warrant or represent the suitability of the Site for any purpose; and
we will not be liable to you for indirect and consequential loss (including without limitation for loss of revenue, loss of profits, failure to realise expected profits or savings, loss of earnings and any other commercial or economic loss of any kind) or loss or corruption of data, in contract, tort, under any statute or otherwise (including negligence) arising from or connected to the Site.
Our liability to you for loss or damage of any kind arising out of this agreement or in connection with the relationship established by it is reduced to the extent (if any) that you cause or contribute to the loss or damage. This reduction applies whether our liability is in contract, tort (including negligence), under any statute or otherwise.
If the whole or any part of a provision of this agreement is void, unenforceable or illegal in a jurisdiction it is severed for that jurisdiction. The remainder of this agreement has full force and effect and the validity or enforceability of that provision in any other jurisdiction is not affected. This clause has no effect if the severance alters the basic nature of this agreement or is contrary to public policy.
This agreement is governed by the laws of the European Union. Each party submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that place.
Cancellations and Refunds
We are not required to provide a cancellation if you change your mind. But you can choose to cancel if there is a major problem.
This is when:
there is a problem with the service that would have stopped you from making the transaction if you had known about it;
the service is significantly different from the description;
or the service doesn’t do what we said it would
If the problem is not major, we will fix the service within a reasonable time. If it is not repaired in a reasonable time you can choose a refund. Please keep your proof of transaction – email confirmation.
You can request a refund of your account balance from 09:00 on Tuesday 28th January until 17:00 on 11th February 2020 through the website. Once your refund has been approved, we will initiate to your bank account. You will receive the credited amount within a certain amount of days, depending on your bank or card issuer’s policies. Refunds will take up to 7 working days from the date you placed the claim, to return to your bank account. (This depends on where you live and who you bank with.)
What if I want to claim back my money?

Refunds will be available online up from 09:00 on Tuesday 28th January until 17:00 on Tuesday 11th February
Register your wristband (each wristband has a unique ID on the reverse of the tag) and enter the details of the bank account you would like the refund paid into.
